Stallion Enrollment

If you are interested in the program please feel free to request a spot on the wait list!

Stallions that are born or standing/residing within a 300 mile radius of the North Dakota border are eligible to enroll!

2023 Stallion Enrollments are FULL! These 65 stallions will get first right of refusal for 2024 spots. If spots are to open up, we will fill them in order of the wait list. To get on the wait list please follow the link at the top of this page or message the Homegrown Classic Stallion Incentive page on Facebook!

Stallions enrolled by someone other than their owner may not be transferred to anyone but the current stallion owner themselves.

Each individual stallion owns their own spot and may not be changed out for a different stallion another year. Spot selling is not allowed. No exceptions.

Don't see your stallion enrolled or know how to get in touch with your stallion owner? Get in touch with us today!

When a stallion is enrolled under the requirements of that year, that particular stallion is eligible to remain enrolled even if they change ownership, move out of the projected radius, or have other changes that would make them ineligible under current rules and regulations. The stallion MUST be re enrolled each year to remain eligible. Once a break in enrollment occurs, that stallion must meet current requirements again to re enroll and must get on the wait list.

Junior Stallion Program

1. A junior stallion is one that does not have foals of competition age. Competition age will be defined as 5 years old for the purpose of this program.

2. A senior stallion is one that has foals of competition age or is of competition age himself.

3. A junior stallion may designate ONE senior stallion to stand in their spot until the junior stallions first foal crop reaches its 5 year old year.

4. Once a senior stallion is declared it may not be changed out.

5. A senior stallion can be any stallion, waitlisted or not, that meets the rules of enrollment of the program.

6. A senior stallions manager/owner must give their permission to use their stallion in place of the junior stallion.

7. If a junior stallion wishes to run in the Homegrown Classic himself, he must not have a senior stallion standing in for him.

8. Once senior stallions are dropped from a junior stallions spot, they can not replace that same junior stallion again.

9. Senior stallions may retain their waitlist place while being substitute for a junior stallion.

10. A junior stallion may not drop a senior stallion from their spot until after the current years Homegrown Classic events have concluded.

11. Senior stallions must be nominated by March 1st of that current calendar year to be eligible to take the Junior stallions place. Any Junior stallion not selecting a senior stand in by that time will forfeit their stand in for that year.

12. A senior stallion does not have the right to keep a spot in the Homegrown Classic. They are simply a substitute for a junior stallion until that junior stallions first foal crop reaches 5 years or age or the senior stallion is dropped, whichever happens first.

13. A senior stallion may only stand in for one junior stallion per year. They must be dropped before they can be a substitute for a different junior stallion the next year.

14. There is no buying/selling/trading of spots in the Homegrown Classic. This is a program that utilizes a wait list and follows that list no matter what. Zero exceptions.

15. Stallions must be currently enrolled in the Homegrown Classic Incentive for any of their offspring to be eligible to run.

16. Homegrown Classic pays out the original stallion spot owner during The BLITZ. If you are using a senior stallion stand in that you do not own please inform the owners/managers of this and you may decide amongst yourselves how you will handle any payout that may come from their stallions progeny.

Congratulations to our 2024
